Luke is the squadron commander. A former cadet warrant officer of the unit (2002-2008), he returned to the organisation and took command of the squadron on 1 October, 2023. Formerly a service instructor, he supported 5x annual camps and 2x iterations of the Air Cadet Leadership Course. He serves in the RAF Reserves, where he is currently a flight commander with 611 (West Lancashire) Squadron, RAuxAF.
Luke is a senior manager in the NHS and is also the Unit Manager for St John Ambulance in Hull.

Tom is the squadron XO, responsible for the squadron’s annual training programme, and was previously the Wing Shooting Officer. Tom was once a cadet warrant officer at 298 (Hornsea) Squadron (2008-2015) & first moved to 1324 Squadron as a staff member in 2019. Tom has an additional role as an instructor with No.1 North SATT, teaching the next generation of staff to gain shooting qualifications & continue the cadet shooting delivery across the North of England.
Tom is a network control engineer for Northern Powergrid, ensuring the safe running and supply of the Yorkshire electricity network.

Former OC 1324 Squadron and now Wing Sports Officer, Helle continues to support the unit by maintaining some essential administrative functions on top of her primary role.
Helle works for BAE Systems.

Sgt (RAFAC) George Gohl

Senior Non-Commissioned Officer
Himself a former cadet warrant officer of the squadron, George continues to support the unit as a member of staff. In his spare time, he has built (and flies) his own aircraft, and he uses he unique blend of software and piloting skills to great effect as an engineer with BAE Systems.
It is this engineering expertise and understanding of aviation that makes him such an asset as a squadron instructor.
George started his career as an award-winning apprentice with BAE Systems in Brough.
