Squadron Charities & Fundraising

Cdt Cpl Millie Butterill

Officer in Charge, Charity & Fundraising

“As a squadron membership, we support each other — charitable fundraising is one method through which we can support causes that have been there for our people.”

Our Charities

  • Blood Cancer UK

Blood Cancer UK supports those living with blood cancer and conducts research with a view to beating leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and all types of blood cancer.

  • The Clifford-Roper-Smith Aviation Scholarship Fund

The Clifford-Roper-Smith Aviation Scholarship Fund exists to foster a practical interest in aviation.

It identifies deserving cadets and other young adults who have rendered notable service to their communities and provides funding so they may experience the thrill of flying and gliding, often for the first time.

  • Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund

The Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund was established to preserve the memory of former cadet, Jamie Loncaster.

It helps provide screening through Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charitable body committed to helping identify cardiac issues in people under 35 so that early treatment can be sought.

  • Alzheimer's Society

The Alzheimer's Society funds research and supports those affected by dementia.

This charity was chosen by Cdt Cpl Butterill.
