About Us
1324 (Hawker Blackburn) Squadron was formed in 1941 at the then Blackburn Aircraft factory in Brough, East Yorkshire and has served the community ever since.
We are now situated at Halifax Barracks on Beverley Road, Hull and so draw our modern membership from a far greater geographical catchment — with cadets from Brough to Kingswood.
Our staff team is comprised of volunteers and wearing the uniform of our parent service (the Royal Air Force) is not compulsory - many of our staff volunteer as what is known as a “Civilian Instructor”.
Our membership currently sits at roughly 40 cadets and 10 staff, and you can find out what some of them say below.
We meet on Mondays & Thursdays, but are considering opening on Fridays to provide a once-per-week session for prospective cadets who can’t attend on our other nights.
Let us know if this would interest you!
